Hold the menu button down for 1-2 mins and that will restart it.
This is called a power-cycle and will restart it when it is in the "stuck" position from unplugging too quickly or turning on too fast.

My sansa mp3 player will not turn on

This happened to me today, which was what brought me here. Also, when I plugged it in to recharge, my computer didn't even recognize it. The SanDisk troubleshooting said to hold up a power switch, which I didn't have, for 20 seconds. So I held the power button down for 20 seconds. (Much longer than the usual amount of time required to turn on). At first I thought it didn't do anything, but then when I pressed the power button again briefly, my SansaClip woke up, was recognized by my computer again, and in every way behaved normally.

Sansa fuze will not turn on

This will happen if the battery is drained below the min. operation voltage.
To bypass the problem = Press and hold the ON button and the Play Button ( >||) for 20 seconds it should override the low voltage and power-up

Samsung K5 trouble shooting

Just a question, is there a button that has to be in a certain position while charging? I had a similar problem with my daughters ipod of a different company. I am not sure if this will help or not. I hope it does.

I was working out with my Sansa e260 mp3 player, when it just turned off. I charged the battery last night, so it can't be that. When I plugged it into my computer, nothing happened. Do you know what's...

There could be a slight problem of it being frozen so try holding down the off button for 10 or 20 seconds and hopefully it will turn off or on that could be the problem or maybe not.

You have to hold your power button up for at least 20-30 seconds and then it should come on. If that doesn't work hold the power button and the home button at the same time for about 10-20 seconds

My sansa e250 mp3 player is not turning on and charging.

i had the same problem.  the solution i used was to unscrew the back and pop the battery out and put it back in.  the only other option is to wait for the battery to die, which can take a while.  it's definitely a flaw with the sansa.  its happened twice within 6 months...  good luck
