Question about GE Optical Mini Mouse ho98094
Hi, You can try to: Right click on "My Computer", click on Properties, click on the Hardware tab, click on the Device Manager Button, expand your Mice and other pointing devices. verify that you 2 entries. One is the Sony builtin (Alps in my Vaio) and a HID-compliant mouse. The latter is your external optical wheel mouse. Make sure it does not have any red or yellow mark. Double click on the HID and verify that the next window says "This device is working properly." If not follow on screen instructions to enable or activate. Hope this be of some help. Good luck and pls post again how things turn up or if you need further information. Kind regards.

I've got one of those. We had problems with it chewing batteries up. You might try another mouse on that computer, and try that mouse on another computer.

I have a presario 2500 and was having trouble with my Genius Traveler 600 cordless mouse. The problem was eventually fixed by choosing a different USB port. For further discussion (since I don't come here often) you may write to me.

I had all the same problems listed in fixit and found that all it took was placing all NEW batteries in the mouse.
Press the blue light button on the USB and the little black reset button on the bottom of the mouse at the same time. Worked good from there on.
