  • rj_franzban May 24, 2009

I am using an ATT provider and I wanna know the setting in order to receive and send mms to my LG KF 900 phone.

  • rj_franzban May 25, 2009

I need aspecific operation setting for KF 900. I tried both suggestions but it didn't work. I called ATT provider but didn't get the answer I needed because I did not buy this phone from them.

  • rj_franzban May 25, 2009

where can I find these GPRS and Wap in KF 900?

  • rj_franzban May 25, 2009

are you talking about the model LG KF 900? because there's no GPRS setting in it and in creating a new profile from the browser page it only has title, homepage and internet profile..can't find the rest.

  • rj_franzban May 25, 2009

I did check so many times...this phone settings is different from my other LG Prada 850.

  • rj_franzban May 25, 2009

everytime I receive picture messages it says "the connection type is wtp" therefore I can't open it. what shall I do?

Is there any AT&T near you? i suggest that you go there and have them input the right settings for your mobile phone. And once they said they have done it, try sending a picture to yourself and don't leave AT&T unless you receive your own picture.

Hi

First you need to go to the my.t-mobile.com website and log in

up at the top-right of the screen (next to support) type in 'Device Configuration' in the 'Ask T-Mobile' box

under 'What is............. configuration/configurator?' Click on the link to use it

select the make and model and get the settings for the t-zones service and the MMS service (follow the simple on-screen instructions) and all done

If still it does not work then do the following:

the APN should be changed to wap.cingular (lowercase)
USERNAME should be WAP.CINGULARGPRS.COM (UPPERCASE)
PASSWORD SHOULD BE CINGULAR1 (UPPERCASE)
THE AUTH TYPE SHOULD BE SECURE THIS IS THE gprs SETTINGS

NOW TO SET UP WAP

the homepage should be: http://device.home/
edit connection type to http the ip address is 066.209.011.032 port number is 8080
edit username to WAP@CINGULARGPRS.COM (UPPERCASE)
EDIT PASSWORD TO CINGULAR1
ACTIVATE ACCOUNT WHEN DONE

MMS SETUP
go to the MMS settings profile

homepage should be http://mmsc.cingular.com
connection type should be http the ip address is 066.209.011.032 and the port is 8080
username WAP@CINGULARGPRS.COM
PASSWORD IS CINGULAR1 (UPPERCASE)

THIS SHOULD WORK FOR YOU IF YOU SETUP THE PROFILE CORRECTLY

Hi,

The settings would be arranged as -

  1. Press Menu.
  2. Scroll to and select Messaging.
  3. Scroll to and select Message Settings.
  4. Scroll to and select Multimedia Message.
  5. Scroll to and select Message Center.
  6. Highlight AT&T MMS, then press Activate.

NOTE: if AT&T MMS is not available, create a new profile by pressing Options>>New.

  7. Press Options.
  8. Scroll to and select Edit.
  9. Verify the following:
    • Name: AT&T MMS
    • MMSC URL: http://mmsc.cingular.com
    • MMSC Proxy: wireless.cingular.com
    • MMSC Port: 80
    • Connection Mode: TCP with proxy
    • Network Profile: MEdia Net
  10. Press Save.
Any further help, let me know.

change these settings in your phone under gprs and mms

Go to the main menu, then select browser settings, profiles
If you don’t have a profile, or you simply want to add a new one, then press Options, Add New (Figure
4). You’ll be prompted for a profile name, choose anything you like –
though I’d recommend naming after the network that you are setting it
    up for (e.g. O2 WAP)

You can configure your profile by selecting it in the profile list, pressing the Options softkey, then choosing Settings (.
Set the bearer (which is the method of connecting to the internet) to be GPRS by choosing the bearer, GPRS menus ().
Next, go to the GPRS settings (). Fill in the correct APN (, User ID () and Password for your network.
Finally, back in the profiles menu choose your profile name, press the options softkey and select Activate to make this the one that you’ll be using by default.

I cant receive picture messages

The problem is that supposedly before you can receive picture messages, you have to send one first. Tell a friend that you are going to test it out on them and send them a picture message. It will take a while for it to go through
Then all the texts that you receive before with the "download' button in them in the place of a picture automatically turn into pictures.
Unfortunately as it stands there is no functionality for saving your MMS pictures directly onto your phone, the only way it can be done is you have to forward the message to your Gmail account, which will then arrive on your phone and from there you should be able to open the email and download the picture. To do so follow these steps
From the Home screen, touch the Applications button.
Touch Messaging.
Touch the message that contains the picture or video.
Press and hold in an empty space in the message.
Touch Forward.
Type a space or other character in the forwarded message (in subject or body of message)
At To, type the e-mail address.
Press the Menu key and touch Send.
Once received in the email this can be saved but the problem is when saved it may save it without a file extension therefore making it unviewable later
This should help and do let me know
