Belt driven from the motor to the rear end
your belt and pulleys are located above the deck in the frame area
to access you need to remove you mower deck and look around.
some mowers have a belt routing diagram.
Make sure pulleys where the drive belt rides are free and turn by hand.

Had NO reverse! Car drives forward but not backwards

Re: YOUR Car drives forward but not backwards...
NO Reverse = broke.

Well Robert, that's the transmission... for sure.

Doesn't even matter if it is automatic or manual...

Neither type are that complex but the both take some serious specialty tools to rebuild/repair.

My early poverty days forced me into working on the... and I have NEVER been sorry.

I have gotten away cheaply by getting a good USED one from a salvage yard... '75 Ranchero "C6" but if you are not into some serious heavy greasy work... this might not be your cup of tea.

Transmission manuals are a MUST.

Lots of specifications to be followed in the automatics.

If it is a reverse issue in a MANUAL TRANSMISSION... it could be worlds cheaper and quite obvious what is broken (shift fork).

All that being said... my happiest problem was a Porsche trans-axle:
A superb mechanic fixed my syncro troubles for less than half the cost of the shop manuals... alone.

I'm just saying.

My 2001 Nissan Altima driver's side seat has all motion except backwards. How can I get it to go backwards?

the backward motor has quit working, go to junk yard and find same car in your year range up or down pay particular attention to how your seat track looks. designs change every three or four years. it must be exact or it will not work.

My condenser fan is running backward

An abrupt cycle of power can cause a motor to run backwards. If you turn the power off again and wait 10 seconds or so (enough for blade to stop spinning) it should run the right way. Put the capacitor back the other way and try again.

2000 lexus RX300 transmission problem

Are you check trans fluid levels? Sound like a problem with the torque converter or internal valve body solenoids clugged. I suggest check with your technician before to buy or think in replacement parts.

Hope this helps.

I have a Maytag Atlantis top load machine. It is 7 years old. I have very dark oil dripping from under the machine at the bottom edge of the front. I am assuming the gear box is gone but wanted to confirm...

Sorry to confirm your suspisions but its leaking oil from the transmission and its exxxpensive to replace the transmission. And sad but true the good ole days of dependabilty of the maytag is gone espically since 5 years ago Maytag was bought by Whirlpool. a Whirlpool is a good machine but nothing was good as the old Maytag's

I have a 2006 dodge charger SXT in which I recently purchased about a year ago. Just a few days ago I experienced that my car does not want to move forward of backwards? My shfter is NOT locked and my car...

t is most likely a faulty torque converter clutch servo/ solenoid
wiring and unit is suspect
while it may look that the pan cannot be removed to change the oil there is a way to do it
if you find a dealer too expensive find an accredited service center or specialist transmission shop and get quotes
the transmission will be generic as car manufacturers do not make their own transmissions but use ones built to their engineering requirements
If it appears sealed , then an accredited shop has the equipment to replace the oil by pumping in and pumping out the oil

Automatic watch quit working. Please advise

Try swinging if backward and forward 100-200 times to wind it up.

If it does not start, then if it is an old watch, having it may need cleaning.
