Question about Foxconn 6627MA-RS2H Motherboard

1 Answer

Not booting PC simply refuses to boot unless it has been left on for +/- 20 mins. Physically turn it off and on and it will turn on... sometimes. Has done this for a couple of weeks now.

Nope... just a blank screen, doesn't even load BIOS. (Even keyboard LEDs not on.) But If you keep the PC on for about 20mins, then try a hard reboot it will suddenly decide to boot, and all is well. Annoying, but teaching me patience.

How to boot normally my laotop?

Your laptop should boot normally anyways, unless you lose power a lot or your computer shuts off improperly. When you turn your laptop again, try pressing F8 a bunch as soon as your laptop begins to turn on and you will be presented with a boot menu. From there you can select "Boot windows normally".

If your laptop refuses to boot normally even with manual intervention, you may need to look into the health of your computer. Possibly corrupt software or files on your disc. Try what i've suggested, I hope it works.

It won't finish the start up

It is looking for something to boot from. Remove any CD and USB drives. Then try physically reconnecting the drive. From there you will need to verify in BIOS.

Check first boot in BIOS as well.

What is the word rebooting?

Depends on how it's used.

1) "Boot your computer up", may refer to simply turning the computer on.

2) "Reboot your computer", may refer to turning the computer completely off, waiting 20 seconds, then turning the computer back on.

3) The Windows operating system has a Boot Record, which is located on a Boot Sector on one of the Platters in the Harddrive.
These are the basic Windows files.

The computer can also be booted off of another source than the Harddrive.
It can be booted off of a Floppy Drive disk, USB thumb drive, CD disk, or from the internet, to name a few sources.

Therefore it can also mean to reboot off of one of the above sources, instead of the Harddrive.

My computer is continually freezing everytime i restart it. how can i fix it. sometimes it will simply refuse to go through the startup and freeze after the original asus symbol is shown.

Freezing can be bad memory among other problems. Try removing a stick and see if you can boot. If not, swap sticks and try again.

Memory is not that expensive so buy more and try above.

Slow response from on switch

If the computer is slow to boot up, there are several factors to take into account. The RAM could be going bad. The hard drive may be going bad. There could just simply be too much "junk" on the computer and it may just need defragmented and cleaned out.
