Question about Mitsubishi WD-62525 62" Rear Projection HDTV

Blue screen with white snowy circle in the middle of screen

TV was working fine, turned it off.  Later when I turned it back on the screen was blue with a white snowy circle in the middle.  There is no signal to the tv.  Direct TV thinks it may be a tv problem.  Does this sound like a problem with the tv or maybe a cable?  Reset everthing and switched around a few cables with now luck.

    I have this same problem!

How do I get documentation on the TV so I can find the right board
and identify the right capacitors to replace?

We have the same problem with our WD62525. Had a repairman out from American Elec. & App.. He tells us we have a bad optical block and a bad chassis(capacitors are drying up.) Quote us 1500.00 on a 3 yr. old tv that cost us 4500.00. Suggested we try to go back to Mitsubishi and ask for help with repairs. We did so and are waiting to hear back.

Sounds like bad capacitors
Replacing the C9A37 & C9A38 caps or
problems with some capacitors on the pwd power board, and that it would be good to change them if they were swollen

intermittent convergence fail. suggest re-soldering the 2 convergence output ICs on the middle power board. they are the 2 large devices located on the largest heat-sink on the middle board(looking at from back) once you re-solder them as long as the aren't faulty internally you should be all set.

Light Blue Circle in Center of the Screen

Hello BruceD,

What you may have is a magnetism problem. I would suggest that you try deguassing the CRTs first before looking into replacing the CRTs. You can have a TV technician perform this for about $50.00 - $60.00.

Thank you,
