error code:P 0F00: 1A44. msg: block 147887154 uncorrectable data error or media is write protected.

I do not have a recovery disc and there seems to be noway that i can get in to the "OS" to run any other software. what the hell can i do!!

Hi there.
Sorry but i have to inform you that your hard drive is failing, the error messages that you are getting relate to this fact and is related to the hard drive having unrecoverable bad sectors or immanent hard drive failure.
There is no way you can recover the drive!!
Your only option now would be to buy a new drive for the computer or if the machine is still under warranty take advantage of that and send it in for repair, you will no doubt have to purchase a windows installation disk too.

Good luck and thanks for using FixYa!!

- Hi again.
There is no point trying to reinstall the operating system as it cannot write to the hard drive.
If your operating system is still usable/accessible then i suggest you back all your data to an external drive or CD/DVD, if its not then you will have to plug that drive up as a slave device to access the data on it.

Good luck with it

- LOL, no they don't they just care about the money, customer service is literally non existent with the majority of manufacturers.
