Question about HP Pavilion dv6000t Notebook
I was repairing windows vista in this laptop when accidently i preesed the wireless button, I read windows was finalizing to repair and started to turn off pc but after a minute pc did not restart it just stayed turned off.
I tried to turn it on again but I saw the led of ac power and hard disk jut blinked and did not turn on. At first I thougth it was battery but the pc it was plugged correctly to ac power so I couldn't to anything more
I think hp machines has a little mechanism of security that makes it turn off like ipods and some functions makes start up again or it would really be a big problem of battery or mainboard?
Somebody knows about this, thanks
Sounds like it may have locked up during the restart, try doing a full power cycle. Remove AC cord, remove battery, then hold the power button down for 30 seconds. Plug just the AC back in and try powering it back up. f this works you're done, if you get the bios screen but windows fails to start you may have a failed repair on vista, btw, what exactly were you repairing when this happened.
Try the power cycle and if it doesn't work reply back to me and let me know what happens.

I have the same problem with my dv5. I just replaced the mobo and the power LED just flashes for a split sec. The only thing that changed is when i have the batt in now, and plug the power in the batt light comes on like its charging. So i just ordered a new CPU and ill see if that does the trick. I as soon as i fig this out ill let you guys know.
