SOURCE: rio chiba mp3 player
go to rio's support page and download the drivers for it. i did this too cus my cd rom drive dont work. however when i installed the drivers it picked uip the rio player but windows wouldnt give me any suggestions when the player was plugged in. it just gave me the option to do nothing. so i have yet to find a solution for this. i am still trying so ill try to update you asap. jacob ray

If you plug in the mp3 player then goto device manger via the control panel (hardware and sound) it will show up there as an uninstalled item. Righ click on it and select update driver and hopefully vista will search and find the apropiate driver for it.
Alternatively try the manufactures website for vista drivers.
Unfortunately not all hardware products are vista compatable yet :(

Stop.. cursing Dell and try to understand that Vista itself is a monster, not even Dell but lot of products from other companies does't work with Vista. It's yet to update fully by microsoft. As far as Dj's are concerned, they were designed to work with XP which is more reliable OS.

You have got to reset the MP3 player. To do this you have to use a paperclip (or something similar) to press the button next the hold toggle it should have the word RST.
