Question about Canon PowerShot SD500 / IXUS 700 Digital Camera
I dropped my Canon PowerShot SD500 from about 4 feet and now the flash won't work. Is this a part that can be repaired/replaced? HELP! Thanks!
Typically yes, it should be repairable, but not by most individuals or even camera shops. It should go to Canon, or their authorized service facility in your area. Camera manufacturers won't sell "parts" (as opposed to accessories) because many people try to install them themselves, damage the part and the camera, then blame the part and want a refund. Send it to Canon, get an estimate, then decide if it's worth the cost.
