Question about RIM BlackBerry Pearl 8100
My blackberry will not come on and keeps saying jum error 513 when i try to turn it on what do i do?
JVM 513 requires the wiping of the handheld and the installation of new software. I hope you have a backup or can do one now.
To do the wipe and installation you need to be running Windows XP or Vista with the Blackberry Desktop manager installed. The link below is to the company's website on how to do this:

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
New users get 2 Free calls (no credit card required) and instant help on almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, appliances, handyman, and even pets).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Thats a password error. Basically you need to reinstall the phones software. You can do this from the Blackberry desktop menu. You also need to first download your corresponding phones software and install it on your computer. This should take care of this problem.
However sometimes that doesn't solve the problem. If so, then try the flash without the battery in the phone. The flash will fail the 1st time around and then gives you a different code. Then flash it again with the battery and it should be al fine.

Try holding these keys simultaneoulsy.
ALT+RIGHT SHIFT(CAP)+DELETE Until you get a blank screen then power on.
Failing that power off, remove your battery for 30 seconds and then power on.
