Question about Compaq Presario Notebook
When you try to boot up the laptop, you get the message NO BOOTABLE DEVICE, so I ran the recovery cd, now I am getting a message
I have to agree with proton on this as it could well be a memory issue.
Remove all power to the laptop including the battery and make sure the laptop is powered down, turn the laptop upside down and look for a panel with a couple of screws, unscrew and remove the panels so the memory is in view, like this >>>>>>>
Unclip the memory, clean the brass pins and the slots with a soft, clean, dry paintbrush, reseat the memory, put back the panel and reboot the laptop.
Use the recovery CD to restore the system as you were doing.
Please post back if you need anymore help or advise and thanks for using FixYa!!
