Question about Dryers
Dryer won't start when pushing start button ... but motor hums while start button is being pushed.
If the motor hums when you push the start button but wont move you probably have a frozen motor. happens from too much lint packed around the motor and ruins the bearings. if you can access the motor from a front kick panel you can check this. possibly something is jammed in the blower wheel as well. unplug it and check it out

Sounds like the motor is cutting out on its thermal fuse. The only cure is to change the motor.

Hey, either the belt is broke or something has happened to the tensioner pulley so remove front or rear panel & visually inspect & if belt is broken look & see if part # is still visible on belt surface & order a new belt.

either the belt is broken that turns the motor or thr idler tension pulley is bad, if it were a motor problem the breaker most likely will trip
