Problem with my Belkin wireless (model #F5d7230-4) resolved.
However, even though my ports are all open, my NAT port map added & I have a green light on my WAN, my download speed is still slower than it could & should be. My question; I've heard it said that my IPS can block my bandwith. Does anyone know if there's any truth to this?
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US. click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need. Goodluck!

yup....you can login to the router setup page by typing 192.168.23.1 in internet explorer...
on the left side you will find an option called firewall....click on that..it ll prompt for the password..(password: leave ot blank and click submit)
go ahead and disable it...
also click on DMZ on the left side of router setup page and enable it for the IP address assigned to the XBOX...
also get into virtual servers on left side and open common gaming ports like,
port 80 port 88 port 3074 port 53 port 443 for both tcp and udp....
in addition to that you need to open ports suggested by XBOX vendor...
thats it, you are done with that....as you open ports for xbox in virtual servers the particular ports for xbox gets bypassed from NAT...so you need not worry about NAT hereafter... also make sure that the modem provided by the ISP is not NAT enabled...if so ask the ISP to Bridge the modem,so that you would not face further issues with XBOX....
First, try adding a wireless card to the Xbox, run the wireless off of the router OR if you have multiple connections (broadband, should be an "In" port, and several "Out" ports) Try connecting your PC and you Xbox through the "Out" ports, with the cable modem cord hooked into the "In" port...
Hi never ever disable nat on your router as that is the one which gives ip address to computer , x-box etc. You can make your x-box live work by just opening some ports
1. open rsp by typing in 192.168.2.1
2. On the left hand side under firewall you"ll find virtual servers
3. Click on that --- You"ll find some fields then check on enable for 1,2,3(ie three rows)
4.Description - x-box for all three
5.Inbound Port: 88-88 ,connection type : udp ,private port : 88-88 for the first row
6. Inbound port : 3074-3074 , connection type : udp , private port : 3074-3074 for second row
7. Inbound Port : 3074-3074 ,connection type : tcp , private port : 3074-3074
8. As FOR the private ip address it is that of your x-box which you can find on the dash board of your x-box . Same for all three rows .
9. Best of luck And do rate me
You might follow these instructions http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Belkin/F5D9230-4/BitComet.htm (although the creation of a static IP is not necessary) if you don't make it then you might have to change the IP you forward the port to depending on whether your computer's IP changes. (you can check that under the network page you find in control panel by highlighting the network you're connected to and looking in the bottom right corner of the window) (or by opening cmd through run and typing ipconfig).
If you call microsoft, and tell them that your NAT is strict, they will tell you specific ports you will need to forward. (For Free). If you arent sure how to forward ports, call up your routers manuafturer, or send me another message. I have forwarded my ports as well.
Ok this is how its done. Open your DMZ on your router interface click enable. The IP address you'll have to enter the last digit. This IP address digit is found on your xbox, look under your xbox network setting an get the last digit of IP address an this will only set your xbox to open. bang thats how u fix it. Very simple. any Q's am @ email@example.com
