Question about Logitech Internet 350 USB Keyboard
I'm trying to install a logitech internet 350 keyboard on a windows 2000 computer that had a serial keyboard connected. I have the adapter to convert the usb connection to the serial, but when I restart the computer it says keyboard error at the start of windows starting. The computer is connected to a network with a switcher installed allowing 4 pc's to be viewed by one monitor. any suggestions?
I have seen some keyboards not work with the usb to serial adapters. try a different keyboard. possibly the oldest one you can find.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Your best course of action would be to use System Restore, based on your response above. Go back to the point where everything worked for you and don't attempt to update your driver again. If it works, don't fix it.
After that if there was something you wanted to accomplish, let us know and we can help you.

The mouse and keyborard have to be in direct view of the reciever. Even a small obstruction will effect the operation

did this come with software
and you might need to do a uninstall reinstall
if it worked on same pc before it should work now.
if you have a reset button on transmitter try resetting it.

The V220 is a quite nice rodent, my favorite. Check 3 things.
1) Is the battery facing the right way? Minus end goes in first. Green LED should turn on for a few seconds after the battery is installed.
2) Is the mouse ON? The switch under the mouse is supposed to turn on automatically when the receiver is removed. This does not always work.
3) Unplug the USB Receiver. Connect it to a different USB port. Run the Logitech Connect utility.
If the mouse still does not work, uninstall the Setpoint software and reboot. It is possible that the driver did not install correctly. After reboot, try Step 3 again.
Setpoint software is only needed if you want to use the wheel click or horizonal scroll features.
If all else fails, try installing your V220 on a different computer.

Of course you know to press the connection button on the receiver then on the keyboard. Since setPoint is recognizing the connection I wonder do the multimedia and function keys work? Do you have the the USB receiver for the KB/Mouse plugged into a hub or KVM switch? If so plug it directly into the back of the PC. See this KB http://logitech-en-amr.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/logitech_en_amr.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=9247
