SOURCE: My Dewalt 7.2-18v charger model #dw9116 is giving

It means there is too high or too low a voltage coming into the charger. Check your chord.

I had the exact same problem. After using the necessary security bit to crack mine open, I found that the large capacitor inside had come loose and needed to be re-soldered.

That fixed my charger.

Are batteries for the dewalt cordless drill interchangeable? Will an 18 volt battery fit in a 12 volt drill?

SOURCE: broken dewalt battery 18v lithium ion

When a Dewalt charger is showing a fast blinking red light it means the battery is no longer chargeable. It may be because of a bad cell or short inside the battery. Whatever the reason the charger will not charge the battery and it needs to be replaced.

Need a new switch for buffalo grinder model B-8CB

That entire older Buffalo line of grinders: N-10CB, B-8CB, B-6CB, bgbr-6cb all use the same push pull switch. Most of those grinders were dual-voltage with a starter capacitor and there are 6 wires connected to a 4 contact switch. The "Jet BGS8-076" grinder switch that is used by the older Buffalo's, Galaxy, Duracraft and TestRite grinders is no longer available.
The good news is that there is a replacement switch from another manufacturer: "3030-9001 push pull switch for RDX grinders" from Wholesale Tool is a direct replacement. It has the same 4-screw contacts on the back and the same push-pull diamond pattern front plate.

Hi, i have a dewalt dc411 cutting tool, i bouth it in US.Batterys are new ( charged 10-15 times only, DC9096) My battery time is very low, about10-15min cutting/battry. Is this normal?

Yes it is . I have one too and the cut off tool takes more amps than a drill or flashlight or saw. Different tools take up different amperage,so it will vary in the amount of time the battery will last.

I Have a Dewalt DC385 type 2 Reciprocating saw. I push the trigger and it does not work all of a sudden. Could the trigger unit be bad. How can I tell if it is bad, I just dont want to keep replacing...

REMOVE THE BLADE !!!! take the handle apart and lift out the switch. keep track of the lock slide button and how it is installed. unplug the switch wires. carefully touch the wires you just unplugged onto the battery terminals. these wires lead directly to the motor. BEWARE.. if the motor components are good , the saw will run at FULL SPEED. you only need to tap the wires, DO NOT jamb them onto the battery. If the motor runs then most likely the switch is bad. If you know how to use a continuity tester then you can also check the switch. Bad moter likely culprtet is the brushes are crapped out.
