Problem with Mitsubishi 52525 TV

I have a Mitsubishi TV 52525. I replace the bulb last year. We went on vacation the next month. When we came back I turned on the TV and after two minutes the TV shut off and the red light started blinking. I put it in the back room until just recently. My wife said it was time to do something with the TV so I started looking at it. I read something about this and the 3300 capacitors being bad. I took the TV apart and saw that the capacitors where leaking. I ordered the parts from Mouser and replaced them. Put the TV back together and got the blinking green light problem. I replaced 5 1000uF capacitors that were bulged, 4 on the FMT board and one on the power board. They did not have 1000uF 16v 105c at radio shack so I used 1000uF 35V 85C. Put it back together and still the same thing. Should I replace the 1000uF 35V with the original 1000uF 16v 105c or use 690F 16V 105C that I have read in a couple of spots on the web? Is there some thing else I need to look at?

Right. So do I replace them with 1000uf 16v 105c capacitors again or can I use 1000uf 35V 85c from Radio Shack or some other articles on this problem say to use 690uf 16v 105c capacitors to replace them.

You can safely replace them with 1000UF 16Vm 25V 35V or 50V as long as the 1000UF is maintained, However use the 105 degree caps as the 85 degree capacitors will fail prematurely due to the high heat within the enclosed chassis.

Lamp failure in WD-52525

i actually own this tv myself... that striking you here will only occur when the lamp does not fire. as far as lamp life i have found that mitsubishi has the longest lasting bulbs from my experience. i would check to make sure the connector on the lamp is seated properly into the other connector in the tv. if you know your lamp is 100% i would look at replacing the lamp ballast. ive had this tv for a few yrs now and love it.

I need a Mitsubishi 52525 schematic to get to the back of the bulb compartment. I tried to replace the bulb and the two plugs on the TV fell out behind the bulb compartment in the TV. Any help would be...

just remove the rear cover and then you can slide the lamp leads back into their slot that is at the rear of the lamp cartridge area. Its very common for them to get pushed back inside the lamp compartment but removing the rear cover will allow you to slide them back into the compartment.

I have a Mitsubishi WD-52525 television, purchased in Jan 2004, and have had various issues with the set since purchased. When the set was first purchased, it took three different deliveries to get a set...

Buy a new set - not a Mitsubishi DLP. I've repaired 3 sets at the board level.
Many, many bad capacitors on four boards, 12 hours to repair.
If a tech replaces one board, he is only fixing one of 4 bad boards and the set will soon fail again.

TV made popping sound and then shut off

You need to look in your owners manual for the telephone number and order a new bulb. It should cost about $200, but they will ship it overnight and minimize your downtime.

I've replaced 2 in my WD-52525 in the last 3 years, the first one went like yours did, very suddenly, with an audible POP!! The second one was preceded by an orange warning light, which the book says is a warning that the bulb has about 20 hours left on it.

To replace the bulb, UNPLUG THE TV, remove the left speaker screen, with a philips screw driver unscrew the bulb, pull it out by the handle, then replace it with the same type, in reverse order. This is a very easy replacement that does NOT need to be done by a service technician to complete.
