Partial blank screen...

Recently the right 25% of my screen started being blank upon booting up. Sometimes its a mirror image of the left 25% of the screen. Now I have to resize the windows to be able to see halfway properly. Is there anything I can do to get my full screen back without having to purchase a new laptop?

The first two options did not work, but they were ideas i had not tried yet. As for contacting HP Tech Support...I would rather buy a new one. This one has lasted over 8 years...not too bad. But thanks for the help.

You can try reinstallaing video drivers by downloading then from
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?os=228&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&lang=en&product=65203

or

if this does not rectify problem, then it could be due to a virus or spyware. Use some good antivirus like Kaspersky to get rid of them.

last option could be to contact

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Good evening, Upon trying to install windows xp on

Can you get into the BIOS? There are a number of keys that could do it DEL, F2, F5, F10...there should be an image there, you should also be able to see POST or a splash screen while booting that hides POST, but getting to BIOS would be a start. You could then try rebooting from a working XP disc and reinstalling.

Acer 22W monitor goes blank after a couple of seconds. Please help.

tjpartners, Have you determined if your display is BLANK, or just BLACK!!! Yes, it can be both! But sometimes if you shine a brite flashlight about 1" from the screen you will be able to see if the screen is only BLACK, but not BLANK because you can still see a very faint image of the Win-Desktop if you look closely. If you see the image then that means the "switch-mode-power-supply" is only in partial shutdown mode and trying to save itself from a catastrophic, nonrecoverable failure! Do the flashlight trick and do a repost to your original message if possible. 12fixlouie

2003 Honda Accord Ex - navigation stopped functioning

Hi, it could be that the screen is in the off position, press daylight/night button twice. From what I've read in other forums pressing that button twice turns the sat nav screen off. Buying an updated DVD will not solve the problem. you can also try a dvd cleaner.
Your lucky if your progress bar has fully loaded up. Mine hung up with about 2% and will not respond in any way now, I have to send it away to Alpine for fixing. Hope this helps

Freezing then blank screen

Have you tried pressing F8 on boot-up and log into safe mode under administrator, no password, and right click on any empty space on the desktop, left click on properties, left click on settings, select a lower resolution,( e.g. 1024X768 ) select apply, select ok, reboot, log in as normal
