I just put in a yellow cartridge. Previously the printer was working just fine. Now it is showing an error code: 10.92.00 So I put the old yellow cartridge back in. The same error code now appears? He

This is your problem.
10.92.YY CARTRIDGES
NOT ENGAGED
alternates with
Open and close
front door.
The cartridges are not engaged,
poor primary transfer bias contacts,
defective high-voltage supply, or
control signal errors.
YY Description:
00 - Black print cartridge
01 - Cyan print cartridge
02 - Magenta print cartridge
03 - Yellow print cartridge
1. Open and close the front door to fully
engage the cartridges.
2. Reseat the print cartridges.
3. Check the printer primary transfer bias
contacts to the transfer unit. Clean if
dirty. If the contracts cannot be
cleaned or they are damaged, replace
the transfer unit.
4. Replace the high-voltage power supply
PCB.
5. Replace the DC controller PCB.

SOLUTION:

  1. Restart the computer.
  2. Reinstall the printer software. In the Windows task bar, click Start , Programs , HP , HP LaserJet xxxx series , and then Uninstall HP LaserJet xxxx series . Turn the printer off. Install the printer software from the CD. Turn the printer back on.
  3. Close any applications that are running. To close an application that has an icon in the task bar, right-click the icon, and select Close or Disable .
  4. Check the amount of free space on the drive where you are installing the printer software. If necessary, free up as much space as you can, and reinstall the printer software.
  5. If necessary, run the Disk Defragmenter, and reinstall the printer software.

Printer shows Invalid Cartridge but it is not?


I ran into the same problem with the same printer. At first I was able to take it out and turn of the printer. Put the toner cartridge back in and it would work fine. But recently, so such luck, ended up buying a new toner cartridge and works great. Slightly disappointed as the old toner is 3/4 full but its also very old and has been in the computer since purchase date. I notices when I took the old toner out I could smell the ink like it was almost burnt. If changing cartridge doesn't work I recommend a HP. I only use this printer for bulk prints but my HP for everything else. HP is the way to go....

What is the exact model of the printer and who is the manufacturer?

Just as a FYI the error codes are in Hexadecimal. This is signified by the "0x" prefix. The codes are "C1 9A 00 24 and "C1 9A 00 22". Without the make and model of the printer you cannot track down the error codes.

Dell 926.... the printer will not acknowledge that a new cartridge has been put in. It will not work. previously had the error code 1203, a short circuit in print head. That has now disappeared. Help...


Error 1203 is an issue that occurs either when a cartridge is bad or the printer cartridge Slot is bad...

1 - try cleaning the copper contacts of the both carts and cart slot in the printer and try again..
or
2 - when error shows up, shut the printers power off; wait one minute and turn it back on press copy.

Will not print,shows65% on screen then printer shows cartridge error 50C see user guide book which I cannot find. My printer is registered with you.


this problem is most likely a damged, defective, or offbrand cartridge. that is what the error code 50C stands for. to test my theory, get an original lexmark black and color cartridge. don't buy it unless you have to. borrow it from a friend or from work. then, clean the inside of the printer with a vaccum and (using isopropal alchol). after performing these tasks, put the new cartridge in one at a time. Make sure you have one old and one new. for example, a new black and an old color. this will tell you which cartridge is defective and needs to be replaced. then fin yorself another company that sells the cartridges and try them.

Hp 1610 says remove and check color cartridge, I did everything, checked cartridge, cleaned, powered down etc. Still says check... nothing works, it's not that old either


-If you have old empty cartridge, try to put it on and see if the error get out. the cartridge has a circuit that gets bad and then the printer shows the error.
-Even if it has ink the printer will get the error.
if the message goes out after you install an old cartridge, means you need to replace the bad one.
