Question about Sony CDX-565MXRF 10-Disc CD Changer
Only one of two things. either a bad cartridge or your transport has given up. Slide open the cartridge door and look for a small inset dimple below the cartridge, it's a reset. push it with a ball point pen and hold for 3 seconds, the unit will reset. if you have another cartridge try it, if not, go to any car audio dealer that sells sony and see if you can try one of theirs to try. Also, these units are notorious for scratching CD's. If you have had the same discs in there for a while pull them out and observe the scratches in the discs. You can improve their ability to be played by using liquid car wax on the disc itself (just a dab is all it takes) and wipe clean with a microfiber towel. Hope this helps. If not, it needs to be serviced by a Sony service ctr. They will put a new transport in it. $100-$150 repair.
