I have never had to cut a hole in my pool liners when installing them. What kind of hole are you trying to cut - I am not sure what you mean by pulling the pump cover through? If you will provide further details about what you are trying to do, I can help you better.

How can we take it apart after we drained the pool?

Question:

How do I properly remove my above ground pool?

Answer: by Osko Pool n Spa Onground Pool Removal Guide
Recently, a reader of one of my other articles asked the question;

" How do you take down an above ground swimming pool to move it? I can't seem to find anything to help me. I read your article on replacing a liner but I need to know how to move the entire pool".

Well, (I thought to my self), this is a very good question. So, here is a basic step-by-step guide on the basic proceedure: ( You'll need at least three people, to help with your wall).

1) Drain all water out of pool using a sump pump.

2) Remove skimmers, returns, lights etc.

3) Remove old liner, (use a razor knife and cut into manageable folded pieces). You'll need a new liner if your going to reinstall the pool.

4) Remove Top Seat Ledge covers

5) Remove Top Seat Ledges.

6) Remove Top Rail and Joiner Plates.

7) Locate Wall Bolt Joint on the Pool Wall and remove the corresponding Upright.

8) Now, get some help and remove all Wall Bolts and associated hardware.

9) Next, start pulling the wall out of the bottom rail (track). And roll the wall up as you remove it from the bottom rail. When finished, duct tape the wall so it does not unroll.

10) Pull the uprights, bottom rail and bottom rail joiner plates out of the ground in sections.

11) Remove uprights from bottom joiner plates.

12) Make sure to separate all components and save all hardware!

That's it!

Hope this helps!

How do I break down pool motor aol 1-1/2 hp

It depends which pump you have, on hayward super II you shut off the breaker, remove the rear motor cover, disconnect the electrical wires, then remove the 4 (9/16")bolts holding the motor to the "wet end" which is where the basket is. Now, pop off the diffuser, sometimes it stays in the wet end when you remove the motor. At the rear of the motor, use a 12mm wrench to hold the shaft, then unscrew the impeller (counter-clockwise) after removing the impeller, theres another plastic plate that lifts off, remove the plate, now there are 4 (9/16")bolts to remove in order to separate the motor from the seal plate. You have now broken down the pump. If you replace the motor, make sure to get a new seal as well (ps201)

Have an Intex 12ft x 3ft metal frame pool. Set it up first and filled it and it lost more than half the water overnight. Did everything I was told to find the leak and nothing. Was on hands and knees in...

what is not included in the instructions is the simple " lay down a bed of filter sand around 3" thick before placing liner in the pool frame and radius it up at the bottom corners
that sand is necessary because any small pebble , rock or edge will cut the thin liner under water pressure or feet walking in the bottom of the liner
further more , if you use chlorine as a cleaning , antibacterial agent that will cause pin holes in any part of the liner not completely covered by water

24' x 52" metal frame pool, need copy of set up manual.

I don't have an instruction manual for this particular pool, but I do have general installaton instructions for above ground pools with metal frames and liners. The pool liners are the same to install no matter what type of pool you have, so this should help!

Tryiing to replace motor cannot get diffuser and seal plate free how do they come apart

First remove bolts holding motor to wet end. Pull motor back and out of wet end. Diffuser should just fall off. Not held by anything, there are just some locating tabs. Next, unscrew impeller. Some impellers may have a screw holding it on to center shaft. If so, unscrew.(Backwards thread). Remove back cover on motor and hold centershaft with large screwdriver or wrench on flat of shaft. Unscrew impeller. Next, unscrew 4 bolts holding motor to seal plate.

Inground pool liner

need to drain the pool pull up the trim see if you can stretch the liner back into position (works best on hot sunny day doesnt work at all in cold weather). Alot of pools have a u shaped groove the liner goes into then plastic tubing is hammered into the groove (a similar application is screens for windows and the spline that holds the screen in place). I also use a shopvac to "pull a vacuum" on the liner to help pull into sides of pool before filling. If your liner is more than a few years old or was trimmed too short you are probably out of luck

How do you pull apart a pool pump to replace the bearing onga pomp

Assuming the pump is at your working table, do the ff;
1.Unscrew the bolts holding the pump case.
2. Take the impeller and the mechanical seal off the
pump shaft.
3. Now you can take the motor off the pump by
unscrewing the bolts holding the motor and pump.
4. Then, you can dismantle the motor by unscrewing
the four long bolts holding it.
5. Take the back plate off and the centrifugal switch
on the shaft. Mark the original location.
6. Now, you can pull the rotor out, by a slight force
at the back plate side of the motor shaft. Note
that the front plate hold the bearing is bolted.
The front plate goes out with the rotor.
7, Now you can change the motor bearings.
To reassemble, the procedure is the reverse of what you just done. Send your e-mail for further assistance.

Water loss in pool, but no hole in liner

The only problem is that ther is a leak in the liner. Generally at the bottom where a rock or debris has made a small hole. They can be patched but the pool will need to be drained. Call your local pool service company.
