Picture got very dark

I assume you are talking about your TV. This happened to me. My TV got darker and the people were ghost like, the colors were all wrong. I was told it was the y-sus board. I purchased a used y-sus off eBay. After install the picture was still bad. Was told the screen was bad. Could have also been the board I bought was bad. I have no way of testing it. Was fun trying to fix, but just moved on to new TV. They are surprisingly affordable. Good luck.

Unable to turn tv off

These days its just not cost effective to have a engineer look at a tv,even though i could just be a component costing a few pence thats failed.I would think the tv would come back on if you unplug it.I would then buy a remote power saver 5 socket plug which you can use that remote to turn off the tv and then problem solved.hope this helps.

I can't get my photos from my cell phone to my laptop

If you are unable to use your memory card, your LG CU515 has a data cable connection which supports charging and mass storage mode.

Once you connect your phone to your PC with this cable, you should be able to transfer your pictures.

USB Connection Mode:
You can transfer files between a compatible PC to
the memory in your phone using the Mass
Storage. When you connect the phone to a PC
using the USB cable, this will be displayed as a
removable disk through Windows Explorer.

After connecting your phone to your computer with the data cable on your computer, click: START > Computer > and look for the phone in the list of storage devices.

On your PC, double click on the icon that identifies your phone - and locate the folder where the picture's on your phone are located. Then double click on your picture's folder on your PC. Simply drag and drop the pictures from your phone to your PC.

If you do not have a Data cable, one can be purchased either at your local cellular retail store or on eBay:

Hey jimmyusmc,

As long as the TV was purchased using a check or credit card, this shouldn't be a problem. Best Buy™ stores are generally able to locate check/credit card purchases using the telephone number and name associated with the account, but please keep in mind that they would only be able to do so for repair purposes. Best Buy™ associates are not able to provide detailed receipt information (or even receipt copies) to anyone other than the original purchaser, as per our privacy policy outlined on

With cash and debit card purchases however, we are unable to guarantee that we are able to locate your receipt. Whenever a purchase is made using either of these types of tender, stores may not collect any kind of traceable personal information at the time of sale.

Picture is of poor quality (wavy)

This may indicate a problem with the RF tuner. When you are using the DVD player is the output of the DVD using the F (RF Coax) Conncetor or is the DVD connect to the TV using the Video/Audio cables (either Composite (Red, White, Yellow) or Component (Red, Green, Blue)). I am do however believe this to be a RF tuner problem. Make sure that the TV is set to channel 3 and the cable box is connected to the TV (set to channel 3). What you could also do is get digital cable and use the video output jack as the input to the TV on one of your aux positions.

I would first make sure the tunner is on channel 3 when using the regular cable box, or if you are using the TV's cable ready features make sure the tunner is working correctly, this might have to be done by a qualifide TV repair person.

I hope this helps
Thank you,
