Can you carefully inspect the laser lens "bubble" for scratches, mars, or obstructions, as well as the disc surface for the same? These imperfections can prevent proper usage of the gaming system.

Do you have stuff stacked on it or around it?? The vents must be clear - what about lightning storms or power surges or breakers being turned off while it was on?

Try un[plugging it for alittle while and then plug it back in, and power it up. if hand held make sure to remove all batteries too - you want it to have no juice

Region code not correct therefore disc cannot start . entered film disc onto psp and the above came onto screen.

To change the region code on your PSP, you need to go to NANO options, then ID Storage tools, then Change region. You will have 3 options: Europe, Japan, and America. Then you will be prompted: "Do you want to continue?" click "Yes" Good luck!

Help!

You might have PSP stop reading UMD discs, First you will do some trouble shooting with what might be wrong with your PSP unit.

first is the Disc Spinning motor. This will not let The disc in the UMD spin. On a working PSP you will hear the disc start to spin up, then you can hear the laser start to twitch, followed by the laser motor moving the laser down the rails.

2nd is something stuck in the UMD gear, try to clean the gear of arm of dust, plastic, soda, and even hair.

and at the last is the actual laser itself. It will not focus the laser to read the UMD disc.

Hopefully this help, Pls post back should you need additional information...!
