The only thing that I can think of that would cause this is heat strips that are placed around the door frames to prevent moisture from forming around the doors. The way you have explain what is happening is an indication that the strips are out of control. If you can find the model number located on the bottom of the fresh food compartment door frame behind door get that for me. The problem is unsafe and should have your full attention until resolved. The parts cannot be replaced and can short out. If you have a local dealer or someone to talk to about the problem would be a good
idea. If you can find model number let me know. The model number above your post appears to be incorrect. Thank You Sea Breeze

My refrigerator is hot! To be clear, the frig is cooling, but the divider between the frig and freezer is so hot that it almost burned my arm! The lower part of the freezer is defrosting as well.

Your condenser grill under your frigerator is dirty and not able to get rid of the heat. If you take off the front grill and the back panel and vacuum it out or better yet, blow it out with an air compressor, it should solve your problem.

Also make sure that the condenser fan is operating because that would also cause the same symptoms.

Center panel between doors in hot to the touch

Hi,

This is due to the condenser over heating, if you have cleaned the coils then the most likely suspect is the fan that keeps those coils cool. See this link for more information on this.

Kenmore Top Freezer not getting cold (freezer or refrigerator), fan works. Occasional click down by compressor? Any advice appreciated. Trying to fix cheap as this is an 8 year old 2nd frigerator we keep...

Check your compressor relay- http://www.acmehowto.com/howto/appliance/refrigerator/check/compressorrelay.php

. Cut everything off for a few minutes then turn it back on and listen for a click from the compressor relay as the compressor tries to start.
Is the compressor motor running. If no check starter/overload relay.

Frig not very cold & metal between freezer and frig gets hot

Poor cooling and a hot divider mean that air is not moving effectively over the condenser coils under the fridge. Check to see if the fan is blowing under there while the compressor is running. If not, then the condenser fan has failed and needs to be replaced. If it is, then use a vacuum with a long nozzle to give it a good cleaning under there.

Frigerator is working but, refrigerator is not working at some points

Your freezer coil may be frozen over causing air circulation to stop. Check for frost build-up in freezer compartment. this is an indication of a fault in the defrost system timer or heaters.

My frigerator

This will get warm. If very hot check and clean coils in front, underneath. Also check fan behind rear panel. It should be turning when the unit is running. Also check for door not closing properly.
