Check there is no thread caught in the tension units and set them ALL to 3 for the Factory setting......try a sample.....if it looks good, OK, if not, try to balance it by gently altering the knobs on the right (loopers) until they form an even tension in balance with each side of the fabric.

Mylock 334d

Your thread tension wheel may be set to too high of a tension, which will cause the thread to pull out from the bobbin. Try a lower tension setting.

If set too low, then threat from the top end would hang loose and possibly snag, instead.

Janome mylock 204d needle keeps breaking when sewing a rolled hem on sequined fabric

The needle thread breaks
1. the needle thread is not threaded properly
2. The needle thread tension is to tight
3. The needle is bent or blunt
4. The needle is incorrectly inserted
5. The needle thread & the bobbin thread are not set under the presser foot when starting to sew
6. the threads were not drawn to the rear after sewing
7. The thread is either to heavy or to fine for the needle

I need to check the tension on my Janome 534D, I think the upper and lower looper tensions are not right

Hello,
Here's a couple of solutions to try.

* Re-thread your machine
It may be threaded incorrectly. And when you re-thread it, make sure your thread goes in between your tension disks. (If you don’t know where your tension disks are, consult your machine’s manual.)

* Check your tension disks for dirt or lint
Lint or dirt between your tension disks may be keeping your tension from working properly. Clean out any you find.

I hope this helps.

Mylock 634D looping left needle stitches

Make sure the thread is in the tension disks. Do this by pulling the thread backwards towards the spools. Also set the tension on zero and check for any fluff, or thread that is stuck in the disks, preventing them from closing properly. Good luck
