Question about Dishwashers
The dishwasher tub will not fill with water
Hi, First thing you want to try is the float located inside front corner. Lift it up and down and see if you hear a click each way and then try to add water. If you still don't get any water, remove the front lower kick plateand locate the inlet valve on left side. turn on the D/W and test voltage to the inlet valve. You should get 120V. If you get voltage and still no water, check to be sure the water source was not shut off. If the water source is ok, and there is 120V to the valve, replace the valve.
Please let me know if I have helped or if I can assist you further.

If there's no water entering your dishwasher, check these:
Water-inlet valve The water-inlet valve lets water enter the machine. If this valve is defective, you need to completely replace it. It's usually located behind the lower access panel on the left or right side. It's the device with the main water line (usually copper) from the house, a rubber tube to the dishwasher, and two wires attached to it.
Float switch The float switch is a small electrical switch that's located right below the dishwasher "floor." Above the switch, on the inside of the dishwasher, is a plastic cylinder that floats up as water fills the dishwasher. If this switch is defective, or if the plastic float gets caught or trapped in the raised position, the water can't enter the dishwasher. If the float switch is defective, you need to replace it.

SOURCE: WATER FILL LEVEL
Every cycle has its own water measurements for example: Heavy Wash : 7.2 gal. so check the manual for further information. And don?t worry there is an Overfill Protector, so you won?t do any damage. Good luck

SOURCE: dishwasher filling correctly?
john, the dishwasher has a timed fill, make sure you are using 3/8 inch line. If you are using 1/4 inch, that would be your problem. The fill should be just below the heating element. If you are using the 3/8 inch line, the next suspect would be the fill valve itself. Make sure nothing is kinked, Catriver.

Motor has gone out..just like mine...Make sure u have voltage going to the motor, (disconnect the plug from the motor) and use an electric meter to make sure you have voltage going to the motor. If so the motor has either gone out or has been blocked by something! If no noise except clicking then motor has gone out. Looking at about $150 for motor.
