SOURCE: Motorola k1 is not transfering files with my pc

I found the solution, See by default when you plug in your phone.
Under the Settings/Connection/USB Settings, It is set to Data Connection, All you have to do is go Change, and select memory card. The computer then reads it as a mass storage device. Problem Sol-ved. =]

SOURCE: trying to download a file

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

To my knowledge most (but not all) *.bin files are meant not to be directly opened by a user but be used by another program to update the firmware of a device. An example, the file 121208.bin is the BIOS version/file and a flashing software like AwardFlash.exe will use to update a motherboard.

In your particular case, I am venturing that the original file would be something like ...XYZ_V123_api_femu.zip which when you unzipped turned out to be ...XYZ_V123_api_femu.bin. This file would then have to be loaded to a device such as a satellite receiver or a cable decoder box. There is nothing a user can do to a *.bin file, rather, the user must point the flashing/updating program to where the *.bin file is stored. This can be accomplished by copying said file to a USB flash/thumbdrive that would be plugged into the USB port of the device (if it exists) or a known location/folder/directory into the computers HD.

Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa. Happy Holidays.

How to fix Database corruption

If you keep getting corruption, the most likely cause is bad hardware.
Hardware problems are probably responsible for 99% of all corruption issues.
Have you checked all of your hardware to make sure that it isn't the
culprit? As Teo suggested, have you ensured that you have the latest
firmware and drivers for all components? Does your server have a RAID
controller? If so, is it battery backed? If not, do you have write-caching
enabled? Suspect hardware here could be any one of hard drives, controller,
backplane, memory, etc. If it is a brand name server, make sure that you
get the latest diagnostics and run all tests on it.

If that doesn't get you anywhere, your best bet would be to open a case with
PSS - they should be able to help you identify what the cause of the
corruption is. The following KB article may also help you to find the
cause.Try this EDB Open File Tool http://www.edb.openfiletool.com/

My friend and I are in a class for school using Skype to send files between one another. Our message and files are not being sent. We know this because we are sitting right next to each other. What's the...

You may experience problems sending files using Skype due to issues with your internet connection or the way that you are sending the files.

There are several possible reasons why your file transfer speed may be slow:

  • The transfer may be being relayed through another computer which is slowing the transfer. . A relayed transfer means that you are unable to make a direct connection with the person you are trying to send a file to. This may be caused by the configuration of your firewall or NAT (Network Address Translation/router) or that of your contact.
  • Either you or the recipient of the file may not have enough bandwidth available. Try closing any other applications which take up bandwidth to speed up the file transfer.
  • If you are currently on a Skype call, Skype will prioritize the voice traffic over the file transfer traffic so that your conversation is not disrupted. The file transfer speed will improve when you end your Skype call.

If you can't send a file to one of your contacts, you should ensure that you have exchanged contact details with the person to whom you are trying to send the file. You can only send files to contacts who have shared their details with you.

Ensure that you are sending files in the correct way. Learn more about sending files using Skype.

Can't transfer my email files from old computer to new computer

Good Day!

To transfer files from an old computer you can use USB or flash drives, copy the files from your Old Computer to Flash drive, after copying---attach the flash drive to your new computer then copy the files and save it. This is the easiest way to transfer files.

Other way of transferring;

-You can also transfer files by Burning your files into a CD/DVD and copy it to your new computer.
-Get your hard disk from the old computer and attached it to your new computer
-Or connect/network your two computers.

I recommend USB or Flash drives, the simplest and easy way.

Hope I was able to help.

How do I send audio files with bluetooth?

Do you mean you want to tranfer audio files or music files from your computer to your phone so you can enjoy music on your device? If so let me tell you that BLUETHOOTH or the SOFTWARE CD are not the best or fastest ways to sync or transfer files from your computer to your phone or vise versa, so Im going to tell you the safest, fastest, and Easiest way to do it, using your USB ,but it may require you to change settings manually on your device first. Make sure you have a Memory card,
Choose settings for USB connections
1.Find "USB connection mo..."
  • Press the menu icon.
  • Press the fourth tab.
  • Press Phone settings.
  • Press Connectivity.
  • Press USB connection mo.... 2.Select setting
  • Press Mass storage
  • Press OK. 3.Exit

Once you've done this and have your memory in your device, Open the MY COMPUTER folder in your computer and connect your device to your computer using the USB cord, a new Icon will appear containing the folders from your device's memory card, that way you will easily be able to transfer files back and forth without the NEED of any sofware Cd's or use slow Bluethoot.
