I went the water valve and spent $80 for the valve, only to find that 1) I didn't need it and 2) I couldn't get my money back. I ended up getting the whole unit for the ice maker for $74.00 You will have to do some searching to find it that cheap, but you CAN find it.

Took me about 5 mins to replace and it has been working fine.

P.S. If you need a water fill valve, I can give you a deal on one.

Please get me a model # and I can look the part # up for you.

Kitchenaid Superba Ice Maker quit

If you add some water there, yourself. It should make some ice for you, untill the water runs out.

Try this

Ice maker does not make ice anymore. appears the tray is not filling with water. door water dispenser is still working

Try swapping the wires on the dual water inlet valve. It’s on the back where the water supply comes in. Then try the water dispenser. The water should go to the ice maker. This will tell you weather or not the ice maker valve is working and if the line is clear.

The water inlet valve on the back of unit opens when the ice maker needs water. If the valve doesn't seal good because of sediment or wear it will continue to drip and when the water reaches the ice maker supply tube it will freeze blocking the fill tube.. You can take the water line off the valve and watch to see if it drips.

No ice....slow to refill ice tray

You need to check the water pressure coming from the water shut off to the frig. Sometimes right at the shut off debris gets in and the water comes out really slow.

if this isnt the problem then it could be one of three
water valve not opening 100% (replace)
ice maker timer is not working properly (replace)
the tube that feeds the ice maker is frozen

Ice tray is full and fill tube continues to run.

Your water valve is bad or the ice maker itself is bad.
Start with the water valve. Im not familer with inglis but this should help. find your water supply line frome the wall to the refrigerator, this should lead you to the water valve. Unplug the machine and then unplug the wires that are conected to the water valve. now you can check to see if the water stoped. (( of course the water has to be turned back on if you shut it off ))

If you still have water coming in then the valve is stuck open and will need to be replaced.

If the water quit coming in the fill tube then the ice maker is bad and will need to be replaced.

Tube feeding ice maker comes off

Good day,
Common problem. Remove ice maker, and make sure tube fits all the way to the rear and seats properly.
Then reinstall ice maker and telescope front part of file tube until it fits into ice ice maker properly. (retaining clip in place).
For the cost, a new fill tube makes sense. Also.........
If the water valve leaks slightly after shutting off during a fill cycle, a plug of ice will build up inside the the fill tube, pushing it off on the next fill cycle. Requires installing a new water valve.

My ice maker is not working. I had to shut the water off to the fridge becasue the water kept running from the icemaker inside my freezer. Any idea what may be wrong?

A small white tube normally connects from the hard pipe entering the freezer compartment and directs water into the icemaker tray. This tube often comes off and allows water to run down the back wall of the freezer. If this is what is happening, take the tube to the kitchen sink and warm the end of it with hot water, as hot as you can stand. Slip it back on the pipe end quickly and as far as you can without making it too short to reach the icemaker fill area. The warming and reattaching process has worked for me several times and I have had no repeat problems using this technique. I suspect the factory assembly was done hastily and the tube was not fully in place.

Ice cube tray isn`t filling with water but I have water on the door dispenser.

Hi, Check the inlet tube that comes through the back wall into the ice maker. See it has froze shut.
If there is ice in the tube, thaw it out and let the ice maker cycle. Plan on changing the inlet valve if the tube is plugged.
If the inlet is not plugged, let the ice maker cycle and listen for or test the valve for 120V. If there is a buzzing sound or you are getting voltage and no water, remove the tube frrom the valve that leads to the ice maker and see if water comes out of the valve.
If no water comes out of the valve, change it.
I hope this helps you.
Please let me know if I can assist you further.
