Question about Lasko 5132 Ceramic Compact Heater
Let me guess it just makes that beep,and doesnt even turn on.get a steak knife or flat head screw driver and scrape all the dust and hair of the steel screen on the back every two months or so.it should work after that.i had the same problem.

There is a thermostatic switch located at the top of the heating
element inside the back cover. There are two red wires to this switch. Clean it
and bend it for a more permanent contact. Or just solder a jumper across this
switch which effectively by passes it.
Also pull the thermostatic sensor (Has a green tip and black shrink wrap) from the back panel and relocate it further out side of the unit. Just let it hang out freely this will give better temp control.
That was the end of my problems!
