Take the front bezel off the PC. Inspect the switch. It may have come loose from it's bracket.

If it won't pop up, the spring or release may have broken. Full replacement is the only answer if it won't come up.

Power button stuck

If you remove the front panel, you may be able to unstick the power button unless something has broken inside. Some desktops are prone to having this problem

I have an Emachine W6409 Desktop, it was turned off(proper shut down) after an hour or so, pressed the on button, nothing happened, power supply was replaced, attempted to turn on and again nothing...

It sounds like you dont have the motherboard/case wiring input properly, without a specific diagram of your computer, i cant really tell you what to plug in, but your computer could have come with the correct wiring guide.

The fan keeps running and the blue light around the power button doesnt turn on

There might be something wrong with the connection between the light to your main board. You can open the chase and see whether there are broken wiring between the front pane of your machine and some ports on your main board.

Start-up problem with emachine 366i

Replace the power supply - but before that - remove every card in the machine and remove the ram too - clean the end of the ram with a pencil eraser - reinstall.
Clean the rest of the cards with a pencil eraser and reinstall.
Blow all the dust from the machine with a can of AIR - get the power supply and fans real good - put it back together and if it works - fine - if not - replace the power supply.

Itt urns on but it stays on the emachine bootup

We can only try for a power drain for this issue,

all you have to do is unplug the power cable from the computer and battery too, then press and hold the power button for 40sec( without battery and power chord), then connect the power cable back. then try to turn on your computer,

Hope this will work!!!
Still if you are facing the issue then you need to consutl with a local tech because it might be the issue with the hardware

My Acer emachine E627 the touchpad doesn`t work. what do?

Mine stopped working too, and it turns out to be that button to the left of the power button that disabled it. Check that...if the
light is on the mouse pad is lock... Hope it helps!

We have a emachine 17 widescreen monitor E17T6WTFT. it is plugged in but it will not turn on. Have only had it for 6days

We could go through many troubleshooting procedures but if it's only 6 days old take it back and get a new one. There's no reason you should try to fix their problem.
The only obvious thing to check is that the cables are seated, secure and functional. Also, when you press the power button, do you get any light around the power button at all? If so, what color is it?

Could be a video card failure or a cable problem. This could also happen because the motherboard failed if you have integrated video. Unfortunately your going to have a tech onsite to repair the issue. That is, unless you want to install your own video card which would probably fix the issue.
