Noisy washer and jumps around

Washer is very nosy and jumps around. The washer is only 4 months old. This will be the last time I buy a whirlpool. Washer is noiser and jumps around more than my 15 year old washer. Wish I had never bought this washer.

Thank you guys for all the quick responses. I did remove the shipping tags in the rear. One of them broke off half way out and I looked all around for the end of it but could not find it. All the others were removed and the washer is level to the front and back and side to side. I will try rechecking the level.
    Thanks again

It could be a few different issues. Check to be sure your washer leveling legs are set correctly. Also many newer washing machines have what they call shocks, stabilizing struts. Those can fail over time and cause your machine to be off balance and walk the floor/vibrate. When is the machine nosey? If when its filling with water it could be a water inlet valve. Or during the spin cycle it could be a drum roller, belt, pulley, Or top bearing glides to name a few things.

Get 2 people.lift it up and adjust the feet on the bottom. wash machings should be as level as possible. sounds like one or two of the feet are not adjusted. Try that. Robert

It may not be the fault of the washer. Check these things:

  1. Are the leveling legs adjusted so all four corners are solid on the floor?
  2. Is the washer set level from front to back and from side to side?
  3. Are you loading the washer evenly so that one side of the washer drum is not loaded more heavily than the other side?
If your answer to all of these is "yes" you might have a defective washer. It should still be under warranty so call your dealer or call Whirlpool.

Hi, When you installed the washer, did you remove the shipping ******** the back of the washer?
I believe it is a yellow plastic strap.
Another option is to stand in front of the washer ans lift the back up and set it down hard. This wwill readjust and steady the washer.
I hope this helps and please let me know so that I can assist you further.

Thanks
Vic

Washer is jumping and noisy. Can I tighten the belt? has been going on for a long time. It is balanced on the floor.

There are some issues causing this problem.
1/ The drum has mixed heavy stuff (big tower) with clothes.
2/ The pump filter got restricted so the outer drum still have water remains.
3/ The shocks are gone.
4/ The drum bearing was loosen - will hear the noise like jet-plane when its spinning.
Check those suggestion, hope it would help.

give it a good splosh of "WD40" and work it in till it free's off or better still call out the people who sold it to you as its still under warranty??? i hope! and get them to fit you a new door hinge for "free!" after all this washer should last for years and years not just a fuw months

NOISE DURING SPIN CYCLE

You have to take the tub out, take off the rotor from the bottom of the washer, remove 4 bolts and take off the stator, take off the bearing retaining nut, then drive the 2 bearings out with a drift. I bought the bearings online for 20 bucks from a supplier (VBX). They are standard metric bearings number 6005 and 6006. I put some silicone grease on the shaft seal and drove the new bearings into place. Then reassembled, and the washer is whisper quiet.

Really noisy in spin mode

No way, if I were you... I will return it and have it replaced, it is still under warranty, is it? if so, then it is your right to complain and tell the problem... it is their responsibility to make things right in order for you to get satisfied with the product. Well, return the problem to them, it should not be on costumers Give it back to them before it will be too late, late as in it's broken or something... and that doesn't cover the warranty, it will be blamed on you for using it improperly. Remember: "CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT".

Happy New Year!!! ;)

Open up the back or front. Check for the shock-absorbers, springs. Rotate the drum to hear anything. Of course the machine shd be disconnected from the power wall socket. There may be 4 springs, 2 shocks. Chk out
