Washer wont go to rinse cycle or past it

Earlier the washer had nothing but hot water coming out of it, never had that problem before. My husband fixed it and now it will not go past the rinse cycle.

Hi, It sounds like the cold water side is still an issue. Can you rinse with hot/warm water or only cold?
Please let me know so thatI can assist you further.

If you return to the wash cycle, do you get both hot and cold water?

Reverse the hoses on the back and then see if you get just hot water. While you have the hoses off, ckeck and see if there is anything plugging the screens inside the mixer inlet valve. I believe the inlet valve has gone bad on one side.

Once you get the hoses back on, leave the water turned off but turn the washer on the wash cycle. Set the temp to cold and listenfor a faint hum. Then turn to hot and listen. If both sides are humming and the screens are clean, you should get water.

Please let me know with you model # and I can get you the part # for the inlet mixer valve.

Rinse on most washers is cold water your wash cycles can be cold hot and even warm. Problem You may have is a bad water feed valve Or Timer and possible bad wire harness at motor to timer

Amana washer will not go through rinse cycle

WASHER WILL NOT RINSE:
If your washer doesn't go through the washer rinse cycle, the most likely cause is the water valve. What happens is the water valve will stop letting cold water into the washer; therefore, once the washer gets to rinse it will either stop or not do anything during the whole rinse cycle.
This is because when you selected your water temperature, you selected warm/cold or hot/cold. The hot water came in and you didn't notice any problems. When it got to rinse, the cold water the cold water won't come in. Therefore, the washer does nothing.
To check the water valve, first cut the water off and remove the hoses off the back of the washer. Then one at a time point the hoses inside the washer tub and turn the water back on. If you don't have good water pressure, turn the water back off and remove the strainer that should be in one end of the hose. Inspect the strainer to see if it is stopped up, clean it and reinstall it. Now repeat this test. If you have good water pressure now, reinstall hose and your problem is fixed.
If you still don't have good water pressure, the problem is in your house plumbing and you need to call a plumber. If you had good water pressure the first time you performed the test, the water valve is bad and needs replacing.
TIMER
If your washer doesn't go through the washer rinse cycle the timer may be the problem. Sometimes the timer gets stuck in the middle of the cycle or won't turn at all. If the washer runs, but the timer doesn't turn, the timer is bad and needs replacing.
Do you have anti-flood hoses leading to the machine. If you do there is probably a loose tube in the back causing a small leak. When the hoses detect that water is still flowing after a certain amount of time due to the leak it shuts down and causes the machine to turn off during the rinse/spin cycle

My washing machine mentioned above wont drain the water or preform the spin cycle process once it gets to the usual 7 minute mark. No leakage, just not drain or spin. How can I fix it?

Put the temp select switch on HOT, start machine. If water comes out check the flow amount. If no water flow, replace inlet water valve. If there is water flow switch to COLD, start machine. If water comes out check the flow amount should be approximately equal or slightly more than flow on HOT. If no water flow, replace inlet water valve. Move selector to WARM, start machine. Now there should be twice the flow of water than there was with HOT and COLD temps. I suspect it is the HOT side of inlet water valve that has failed because machines usually rinse with COLD water.

The first thing I would check is shut off the cold water valve at the wall and remove the hose at the washer.carefully pry out the little screen in the inlet and clean well, reconnect hose and turn water back on FH is a water inlet issue I am hoping that what is happening is that when the washer starts its wash cycle it is probably filling with warm (hot) and cold water at the same time even though it might be mostly hot,but when it comes time to rinse (cold water ) there is not enough to make the computer happy and you get your FH error.. Hope this Helps,,If not your probley looking at a new fill valve assy
