SOURCE: Acer Aspire 5630 - Low speaker volume, poor quality, OS=Vista

It's likely that the speakers are blown out if it's quiet and making a crackling sound. To fix that, the speakers can be replaced or you can use external speakers.

SOURCE: Very low sound

Have you tried the settings in Control Panel - Sounds and Audio Devices.

The volume of the sound and speakers can be adjusted here - perhaps your main volume is set too low?

Good luck.

SOURCE: very low volume on Acer 5420 lap top. ATI X1250

Go to the bottom right of your monitor and to the left of the time & date see if there is a speaker. If so click on it and it will bring up a volume control , then you can increase the volume.
Hope this helps. Bud

Low sound output from speaker

Hi tabrezansari,

I have an aspire acer 4741 series laptop. I always turn my sound volume to the max (Fn key's + arrow UP).

But if you encounter too low sound, you double click on the speaker icon in the lower right hand, it should bring up the mixer volume menu. Make sure none of the 'mute' buttons are selected. Also check the sliders to full volume or whatever is confortable for you.

Hope it helps.

Thank You for using Fixya.

Ok, you can purchase a good quality Headphone or a woofer to improve your soun quality.
Otherwise you install Winamp with DFX, that also increase your sound quality as well as volume.
