I have my printer hooked up wirelessly to my network, however when I try to reinstall the printer software on my computer it does not recognize any printers in any network
I'll need some more information for this one. What type (model and manufacturer) is the printer?
What operating system is on the computer?
What type of IP assignment are you using on the router and the printer? (DHCP v. static)
Generally, this problem occurs when the printer is programmed to use DHCP for IP address assignment. The problem with this is, it has a new address every time the thing restarts.
The computer on the other hand, always looks for the same IP address for the printer when it is time to print.
So, if you find out what your router is assigning for IP addresses (ex: 192.168.1.15) and subnet mask (same ex: 255.255.255.0) then you could ASSIGN a static IP address in the printer (say, 192.168.1.26 with a mask of same as above).
With that done, you can program your computer to see that particular address on the network. You won't have to change the IP address in the computer, because that doesn't matter; the printer is not looking for the computer, the computer is looking for the printer.
When you set up your printer, and you are going through the wizard, one screen will ask you if you are installing a local or network printer. Local (even though it's a network) should be chosen. The next screen should allow you to assign or search for IP addresses on the network.
Once you find that, you should be fine.
good luck

Ok there are many printers out there... Ok I would directly hook up the printer to the pc you are wanting the printer to be associated to. Install the driver. After the driver is installed try to access via the netrwork by adding it as your default printer.

Is your printer connected to the network, and is it wireless or wired to the router?
