SOURCE: Electric Heater Coils Always On

We use the STW0925H! in 60 rooms on this property and have encountered similar problems that were caused by weldedd contacts on one of two relays that controls the electric strip heat. They can be replaced if needed.

PTHP's and PTACs employ thermal fuses as well as a bimetal limit stat on the heating element to limit risk if fan motor were to fail and the heating element were to remain energized. It would be wise to check that both are fuctioning properly while you are servicing the unit.

SOURCE: sanyo a/c mod#stw1223c1 when u turn on a/c u get fan only when u turn on heater u get a/c not heat

board is not sending command to correct relays on board. this would have to be verified before knowing next step would be replace board.

Have a master 165,000 btu turbo heater it always starts and runs but sometimes it will run for 5 minutes 7 or 10 no matter where i set the built in thermostat, any tips ????

I would start by checking the fuel filter form the tank to the nozzle. If this is getting dirty the heater will slowly start loosing the red glow on the nose cone until the until shuts down.
Normally if it sets for a few minutes it will start and run again.

You can order a filter replacement kit that has all of your filters included.

Propane heater wont stay running

is the sensor for the thermocouple located in the right spot in the flame, remove it and if you have access to a propane torch, heat the end till its red hot and leave it connected to the gas valve, then start the unit and this will tell you if the sensor is properly positioned in the pilot flame on the unit itself,if not you could have a defective new thermocouple or another safety device keeping it from staying lit or the gas valve is faulty

Ac problem

Turn the thermostat off to see if the unit turns off. If it
does than you must have had a call for heating or cooling.

Put into heating mode let unit turn on, lower the setpoint and unit should turn off. If unit is not heating
than you have a problem with the outdoor unit.

Putinto cooling mode, turn thermostat all the way down, let unit start turn thermostat all the way up
if unit shuts off, unit is operating properly

Hi, I don't understand how the early and late boost works on the storage heater. Someone told me I should turn the output switch off when I am at work during the day, then turn the output control up when I...

Output switch is the one that says Cool-Off-Heat. Turn this offwhen you aren't home.
Output control is the thermostat. If you want to heat the room turn up the thermostat to the desired heat after putting the output switch on heat. It will take a few minutes for the heater to get hot. Early boost would be if you want immediate higher blower speed to speed up keep the heated air from being too hot and late boost will hold off the fan until the heater is higher in temp and the air temp discharged will be hotter.

Rinnai gas water heater wont heat the water hot enough even though we have turned the thermostat up to 185.

your temp control is bad and you will have to have a tech to service the unit, contact rinnai and they will give you info on a quilified repair person,, not just any one should be allowed to work on it,, depending on the age it may still be under warranty,, they come with 5 year parts 1 year labor 12 years on heat exchanger this is on all rinnai units

Heater runs hot for a few minutes then stops heating

I would say from what you have described your problem is a bad thermostat heat sensor (you may have to replace the whole thermostat on this model!) This is a very common problem for this unit!
