Prob need more info but when pc freezes usually means overheat. Try new cpu fan and blow out the heat sink.

Normal 0 There are a number of things that can cause the computer or the camera to freeze up.
First I’d check to see how much memory is installed in the computer. It takes additional memory to operate the camera.

It is happening with all the pictures that you on your computer?
Is it also happening with the default pictures that is on the computer?

What kind of file is that? Is it imported from your camera or downloaded from any particular website? What is the extension of the file?

If the file is imported from any camera then look for a codec on their webistes.

Can you list the non-microsoft software that is installed on the computer(Get help from add /remove programs)

Windows Media center recorded TV playback


Some possible causes can be system heat causing the video card to freeze. Sometimes it can also be related to the video driver or MPEG2 decoder. Make sure to use the right decoder and filter for the video playback.
