Memory card stuck in printer

My memory card is stuck in my epson cx5800f and it is too far back to grasp to take it out. What can I do? or how can I get to that area of the printer to take it apart and get it?

The card is on the left side of the card readers but in the bigger slot area when it should I guess be in the smaller. It tried the toothpick but it didn't pop out or move it closer to the opening.

This type of case is very difficult to get apart. The type of card reader on it is a 'push in to release'. I would recommend using a tooth pick or something similar to push the card in. It should then pop out for you.

If it's not in the correct slot, sadly your best bet is going to be a pair of tweezers.

EPSON PICTUREMATE PRINTER WILL NOT ACCEPT 4GB

Here is a quote from the Epson website.

"These products were developed and released at a time when large capacity cards such as 2GB or 4GB SD cards were not commercially available or widely available. Therefore the printer and its memory card reader do not recognise larger capacity memory cards."

So you're stuck with it I'm afraid.

Epson Stylus CS5800F Printer will not power on. Plugged into known working outlet, but no luck.

I had that same problem with my CX5800F. I tried it in several working outlets and shut down/started up many times. Tech support couldn't figure it out so they had me sent it back for a replacement. Several days later, before I packaged it up for shipment, I decided to test it out one more time, and it powered on! I sent for a replacement anyways. Since it's still under the 1-warranty, I'd suggest sending it back for a new one if all else fails. Good luck!

"Printer error"

Don't have the exact problem but somewhat on the response. My printer worked once after replacing two toners. After starting all the lights (Copy, Memory Card, Fax) come on and stay on. I guess it is now a "boat anchor".

Clicking nosie from scanner bed on epson cx5800f

I had a similar problem, the scanner bar was stuck to the far left side. Here's how I fixed it:

1)Unplug the printer, disconnect any cables/phone lines to it.
2)Lift up the entire scanner bed housing(you will see the printer ink cartridges).
3)Locate the access patch (approx 1 cm x 1 cm square) along the left edge of the scanner bed housing(this is the side that closes in, next to the keypad buttons).
4)Using a small knife blade, peel off the patch from the corners and edges(it's sticky. Save it, you can stick it back over the hole when you're done).
5)Stick a pen through the access hole, and push the scanner bar to the right, approximately 2-3 inches.
6)Now, close the scanner housing, plug in the printer, and power it on.

It should reset and re-calibrate the scanner bar. If it doesn't, repeat steps 5) and 6) a couple times, until the printer correctly performs calibration. Then, you can put the sticky patch back over the hole, and you're ready to go. Hope this helps!
