Question about SanDisk 8GB microSDHC Memory Card with MobilMate Micro Media Card Reader

1 Answer

Formatting issue My 8GB MicroSD Worked fine in my MOTO Z9n, then I got a Blackberry Cruve 8320. When i put the SD in the Blackberry, the phone said that the card needed formatting. In effort to save my stored media on the card I put it back into the MOTO Z9n and attempted to sync it to my PC. When I picked up the moto with the SD inside, it had gotten very HOT, AND My media was not showing up on the card anymore. At this point my 8GB MicroSD is unreadable and will not complete the formatting process in either of the phones, or with the card reader in my PC. Cant it be fixed is that just 60.00 trashed along with irreplaceable media.........?

The memory might be able to be saved. but if you have attempted to format it most likely the data is gone because that is what formating does. Now you can get an 8GB Micro SD for about 15$ so I would buy a couple and always back up important data daily. Thanks,
Lee

The LG620g works with microSD cards. Your 4GB card is actually a microSDHC card. While it fits into the slot, it's electronically incompatible and will not work in this phone. You need to use microSD cards, 2GB and smaller.

Put the SD card in a stand alone card reader, and copy the data off it to your computer. Next, format the SD card, and put it back in your phone.

This question is posted in the digital camera section and I think we are taking about a BlackBerry Phone. If it a phone you are attempting to you that wicked high tech SDHC class 4 memory card in I believe that's the problem. Your phone just doesn't have the software to support that massive card.

It's the phone programing not compatible with the SDHC card. Another thing also is you need to format a memory card in the camera/device you are going to us it in. Formatting the memory card in the computer and then putting it in the camera/device will just cause an eternity of errors.

Did you go into camera options on you BB and make you switched from the BB internal memory to media card?

other then that I'd say the card is beyond the capabilities of the BB

We are having the same problem. I researched the problem online and in the Verizon Forums and we are not alone. We are on our 3rd Verizon LG Envy 3 (Sept 2011) and 2nd 16GB memory card (from ebay- both cards worked perfectly in our Blitz and Samsung Glyde)......and we still are out of luck. Verizon acts like this is the first they've heard of the Envy 3 - 4GB/8GB/16GB memory card problem. Evidently, Verizon doesn't pay any attention to their own forums. The Verizon Representative even got very irritated that we were on our 3rd Envy 3 phone (the lights would not work on the keyboard on 1st one) and that we were still calling with problems. I am in the process of filing complaints about the Verizon Rep and the Envy 3 memory card problems. Bottom line.......still looking for a fix!! The phone should recognize the sd card without you having to pull it up manually, both our Blitz and Glyde cell phones did. Oh, one more thing......the Envy 3 recognized a 1GB sd memory card but not the 4GB and above.

Put a 16 gb micro sd card in formatted it took pictures and can not veiw then phone says unsupported media type

I've check the specs of your phone from 3 different websites. One of the websites indicates that you can use a microSD (TransFlash), up to 16GB. However, the other websites indicate that you are limited to a 8Gb microSD card.

I then checked LG's website and confirmed that the KC 910 is limited to a 8Gb card.

My LG Neon is not recognizing the microSD? card. it says "not supported". the memory card itself is microSD HC 8GB. it currently has music on it. not sure if that has anything to do with it.

Hi,the music on the memory card has nothing to do with it,the problem is that the memory card is not supported by the phone, the phone uses a microSD card quite alright but the maximum SD card it supports is 4gb microSD card that is why the 8gb microSD card is not supported by the phone.
so i'll suggest you get a 4gb microSD card.

Take care
