Question about Briggs & Stratton Lawn-Boy Insight Series 21-Inch 190cc 650 Series Gas Powered Engine Variable Speed Self-Propelled Lawn Mower
Put in new plug and cleaned fuel lines and still wont start
Your carbeurator is gummed up. a common problem after the lack of use in the winter season. Since you havve a new plug you are partway home. Empty out any old fuel and put in new fuel which you buy now at the gas station. Then buy a can of carbeurator cleaner. Remove the air filter. Look and see if it is dirty, if it is replace it also. Spray two short ssquirts of carbeurator cleaner into the air intake opening exposed while the air filter is removed.
Pull the cord and try to start the engine. Even if it won't start you will be drawing the cleaner into the carb. so it can start to dissolve the problem gummy deposits. Wait half hour and repeat the spray and the attempt to start. If this fails after four attempts you will probably have to remove the carb. and soak it in carb. cleaner for three hours to dissolve the gum.
