You need to buy a new TV. Even if the screen is the only issue, it will cost more to repair it than to buy a new one, and it will take months since screens are in very short supply. Check with your homeowners insurance, it may be covered since i'm sure it was an accident and that's what insurance is for. Sorry.

Sell broken flat screen tv

Or strip it out and sell the internal boards. X-Sus, Y-Sus, Power Supply, Video Processor board etc. Better value as parts rather than as a TV facing a hefty bill for a broken screen.

This tv it is the T-CON decodering board problems,if this tv never got hitting by an objects or by a person causing the damages to tv LCD screen panel.This T-CON decodreing board sit at the bottom in the middle of the LCD screen panel.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish T-CON decodering board for the replacement.

Ur backlight video board is the problem,must change for this problems.Check for crack or damage the on the LCD screen,tv it worthless,if the LCD screen is dead,broken LCD screen glass.

damaged lcd screen are not repaireable but are replacable. mostly expensive depending on its size. handling, shipping or transporting units with lcd such as plasma tvs should be given extra care.

Get the tech supplier to tell to the manufacture and the store what he told you.

Physical damage on any electronic device is very hard to have serviced under warranty. I have never seen a plasma display crack on its own. But, anything can happen.

I once saw a man drop a newly bought plasma TV in a parking lot outside from where he bought it and the screen broke. He never even made it home from the store!

Maybe you should contact a lawyer or someone who can give you legal advice about how to proceed with this. In different countries and different states the consumer protection laws are different.

Broken LCD

I have a 52" Samsung Series 5/ 530 Model LCD Flat Panel and I cracked the screen. The screen on the outside is not broke nor scratched but something hit it and now when I turn the tv on- it looks like i hit it with a hammer. How is this fixed? Can I do it myself?

if your tv has black borderaround screen protector it has to be replaced with original part..if not it can be replaced with plexi-glass, avail at local home improvment stores john

Hi craigaloid your problem is the flourecent lamp on that side it could be broken after it fall have a tech look at your tv for repairs.good luck
