Question about Computers & Internet

My Logitech cordless numbepad keeps turning off, despite fresh batteries, and isn't working.

I have just bought a refurbished Logitech wireless number pad. When I put in fresh batteries and tested it out, it turned on, but The light would stay on for about 10 seconds then turn off. When it was on, the buttons would not work. Is it defective or is there some settings on my computer I need to check? Note: I am using this on a Dell Inspiron 1525, with Windows Vista Basic.

The pad is defective. Why not get a brand new one? It does not cost much though.

Cheers.

Have cordless keyboard EX-100. Keys will not respond. The calculator and mute keys works all other do not. Have fresh batteries and reset connection button many times. My cordless mouse is okay.

You either need to push fn button (upper left on keyboard) or you need to check that the logitech keyboard software (itouch and a few other names i can;t recal) is running or installed. On mine if the software has glitched out, a quick reload of it and it works fine. This software is what is telling your computer what the special keys mean. If this isn;t running it will only be able to understand the standard type of key signals.

Unplug it when you're not using it.

If you keep it plugged in at all times, it will always register as being used, and in turn, constantly use battery life. If you unplug it when not in use, or just take out the batteries when you're not using it, you should find that they will last longer.

My Logitech LX5 wireless optical mouse has never worked properly

hi im josh in cebu phils.may i help you? Friend try my gathered solutions. This problem has a simple solution—replace your batteries! Low batteries in a wireless device will cause all sorts of problems. In a mouse, this typically means that the cursor slows down, jerks around, or seems to hit an invisible wall. Fresh batteries should fix things right up.
If new batteries don't fix the problem, you have some sort of wireless interference. Try moving the wireless receiver to a new position—preferably away from other wireless devices (wireless network adapters/base stations, cordless phones, baby monitors, and the like). If interference continues, see if you can change transmitting/receiving channels on one of the devices, or consider turning off the interfering device while you're computing. Good luck friend hope i helped you.

Mouse drawing to much power dances all over the screen

Make sure you don't have any bluetooth devices activated near your wireless mouse or it will keep making it move all over the screen, killing the batteries. After bluetooth devices are disabled, take the batteries out and leave the mouse sitting for awhile without the batteries in their to let it reset for a fresh start. Them put them back in and see if it works. If it still does not work, un-install and re-install the software that came with it.
