Question about Compaq Evo D510 Minitower (Open Box) (OB4700432011) PC Desktop
Same problem.....I needed to re-install Windows XP after a disk crash on a Compaq Evo. A
number of drivers are not available after the installation, amongst
them the Ethernet network driver (controller seems to be on the
motherboard). Tried to download all 3 network drivers on the HP driver
page.... Read more
I downloaded the Intel(R) PRO/100 VM Network Driver, connected once and now it does not connect again after reboot.
If you have access to another system, go to http:\\www.belarc.com and download a free copy of Belarc Advisor. Copy this to a disk or flash drive and install it on the machine in question. This will give you the specific driver that you need to download from intel for your network card. Then go to http:\\www.intel.com and download it.
