Difference between DV6000 Intel mothearbord and DV 6000 AMD motherboard

The DV6000 is a moniker for an entire series of laprop computers, each with a unique model number that has some variation the DV6XXX. Some will have Intel Core Duo, some Intel Celeron, some AMD Turion 64, and some AMD Mobile Sempron processors. Features, speed, and cost will vary appropriately with the Obviously the AMD and Intel boards are different and you cannot swap processors between boards. Here is a link to the HP Maintenance Manual for the DV6000 series laptops. It lists all the Mainboards used with the series and what processors go on them. It is useful for ordering replacement parts and gives instruction on disassembly and repair.

My Mother boards asus M4A78LT-MLE but when computer start fast screen appear " this cpu is not supports please call asus costumer care" and pres F1 enter bottom to star contnue, processor fan...

Click here to view the list of supported processors for the ASUS M4A78LTM LE Mainboard.

The AMD AM3 Phenom 2 X4 965 3.4GHz is not supported as it is a 125Watt or 140Watt Processor.

The ASUS M4A78LTM LE Mainboard supports up and including a 95Watt Processor.

Therefore you either need to downgrade, purchase a Processor that is supported as shown in the list or purchase a Mainboard that supports your AMD AM3 Phenom 2 X4 965 3.4GHz Processor.

I myself would go for an ASUS M4A88TD-V EVO/USB3 Mainboard, its a good companion for that monster of a Processor you have got.

See if you are able to return the Mainboard and purchase the ASUS M4A88TD-V EVO/USB3

There is also the cheaper ASUS M4A785TD-V EVO

Tell me how it goes!

All the Best!

Number of pin in mother board number of teeth in mother board number of transitor

This sounds like a Processor question. Perhaps delving with how many pins are in the processor socket, on the motherboard.

Also how many transistors are in the processor.

There are presently two styles of mating up a processor in a processor socket.

1.The processor has the pins, and the processor socket on the motherboard has the holes, (Socket holes)

2.The processor socket has the pins, while the processor has the socket holes.

Your question looks like it deals with the style whereby the processor socket on the motherboard, has the pins.
Here is information about the various processor sockets, and also slots, plus information about the various processors.

Processor Sockets and Slots
A.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CPU_socket

In the ->List of Sockets and Slots chart, in the column on the left side, you will see Socket's named, as well as Slots. These are in blue. If you click on them you will be taken to a page that has more information on it.

Processors, (Microprocessors)
B.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_microprocessors

Again, you click on anything you see listed in blue, and it is a link that takes you to more information.

As you click on a link that has general information, you will also see other links in blue on the page, plus links at the bottom of the page. These will take you to more specific information about the processor you're looking at. There you will see,
1.How many transistors it has
2.What the Front Side Bus is. (Frequency Rate)
3.What Frequency Rate the processor operates at. (Slang is Speed)
4.What size the cache is in MB. (L2 cache. The L1 cache may be listed, as well as the L3 for the newer processors)
5.What the Voltage range is.
6.How many Amps the processor could use while operating at full capacity.

Plus a lot of other info.

Sometimes. Both the Pentium, Pentium II, many AMD, and some Cyrix processors used a socket 7. So depending on your motherboard and what two processors you are using it may work.

Supported Processors

not always the mother board will have a limit on how fast a processor it can handle and whether or not it can handle a dual core. my advice is to go and download siw (system information for windows). this will give you a lot more info about your laptop. it will tell you what *********** board supports and lots more. i would say that if your computer is currently a single core than don't upgrade to a dual core because it probably won't be supported. then once you get the info go check out newegg.com it will save you lots of money verses going to a retal store.
