Images get a green tint when scenes are show in low light. Faces get a green shaded tint. I have owned my projector for sevearal years and have replaced the bulb twice. I have removed the dust and cleaned the color wheel with denatured alchohol.

check out this thread: http://www.fixya.com/support/t138974-optoma_projector because there they say it's due to dust.
I'm having the same problems with my ep770, and am going to give it a try.
SOURCE: Optoma EP732H Projector - Image is Whitewashed
Hi tourblack
I wouldn't think that this is a lamp issue , as the lamp will make the picture fade away in brightness and wouldn't look white washed.
Check if the brightness is set to 50% and the contrast on 50% as well.
This could be a colourwheel that is in need of replacement.

u need to open the 4 screws on the sides
then there is one screw in the center at the bottom
the u also need to unscrew the nut screws on the vga connector.once done
press the top of the panel near the keypad & the front cover will come off
similar is the procedure for the back cover.
when you try to lift the top cover make sure not be hasty, open slowly s there is a film connector for the keypad that is connected to the main board, take care not to damge it
once you have acess to the main board
loosen 2 screws on the mainboard & then press the outer side of the main board.there is a 100 pin connector that connects the main board to the dlp engine.this is the cause of the problem that you mentioned.this should fix your prob
SOURCE: New Bulb (30 hrs). Screen flickers after 10
Hi, I had a similar problem - the screen flicked through blue, green and red sometimes with a slight ticking noise. The problem seems to be that the colour-wheel is getting stuck - the first time this happened I sent it back to optoma who gave it a clean - it has happened again since thouegh and I just took the case off (you'll be able to see the colour wheel under a black plastic flap - remove the flap) I then used a cotton bud (q-tip) and turned the colour wheel whilst lightly pressing the cotton bud against the wheel - I also gave everything a blast with a can of air. My HD72i is ceiling mounted - optoma suggested putting the hoover pipe across the vents every now and then to keep the dust down. Essentially it's dust that is stopping the movement of the colour wheel.
Hope this helps.
