Re: elna 7000 computerized sewing machine

Elna 7000 will not pick up thread from the bobbin casing. the bobbin casing no longer rotates in circle for sewing to pick up thread. What is the problem?

My elna 7000 sewing machine speed all of a sudden is very slow, does not work in reverse, or does not want to make any stiches? What can be wrong?

Looks like this is a mechanical machine. If so, bet it needs a good cleaning and oiling. The following may be helpful:

It was working now it seems to be frozen the needle part wont move

Definitely get some good quality sewing machine oil. Sounds like the machine has basically seized, including the stitch selectors.

When I am monogramming with my Elna 8600, the thread continually breaks, what could be the problem?

The top thread breaks
1. the needle thread is not threaded properly
2. The needle thread tension is to tight
3. The needle is bent or blunt
4. The needle is incorrectly inserted
5. The needle thread & the bobbin thread are not set under the presser foot when starting to sew
6. the threads were not drawn to the rear after sewing
7. The thread is either to heavy or to fine for the needle
8. Try a different spool or cone of thread

When this happened to me I was told the thread was old. Sure enough, it was old thread and now that I've replaced that old (20+ year) thread all is fine.

Left needle stitches not being caught by looper

Is the tension on the left needle on its normal setting and is the thread feeding okay to this needle, not caught up somewhere on the aerial or around the cone?

You could try unthreading everything, changing the needles, then rethreading the machine again in the sequence of the threading diagram and test sew.

However, if you have had this machine for a while and are very used to threading it and this seems like a fault to you, then it could be that the looper has been knocked out of timing and it would need a trip to the sewing shop to investigate further.

I am looking for an elna 7000 sewing machine workbook, not a manual but the workbook.

you could try Marina's Little SHoppe on, she carries a range of elna service manuals on CD so may have the 7000 too.

My elna 7000, the foot control just quit working in midseam.

What ever you do... don't take it apart and try to fix it yourself. I made a nice little foot warmer out of mine once. :o)

Try ebay or just do a google search for "sewing machine parts"

Elma Pro Quilting Queen, I keep getting loops on the bottom. I have rethreaded, reinserted the bobbin and it keeps doing it.

change the needle
clean under the needle plate where the feed dogs are for lint
also clean in bobbin area for lint & loose threads
rethread the machine make sure to get every thread guide
check the thread tension usually 3 or 4

I have an elna 7000. The rotary hook is not turning and I cannot figure out how to open it up to see if it needs to be cleaned

You may have a broken gear but I do not advise opening any part of a computerized machine, you will need a specialist otherwise you could blow the computer boards with static

Elna 8200 embroidery machine. Broken needle

Computerized machines need to be serviced by an authorized sewing machine technician, preferably Elna.

Diving into this may cause more problems and end up costing you more money for repair.
