Generic problem for all Microwave Ovens

Manufactured in 1999. The other day when I opened the microwave door, the unit lost all power. The outlet is fine, and there was no damage to unit.

- Exact same issue. Opened the door and poof..no power to the unit anymore.

- I tried replacing the fuse and it blows immediately so there is some type of short in the circuit and if you check the company website you find that they have sold their name for the microwaves out and the other company will not stand behind their product.

- I have a built in microwave in my RV. The clock has been running looked at recently and the full unit is dead. Check the switch & circuit breakers. This is a 1998 Sharp model. Thanks for anyhelp, hate to buy a new one.

This is usually caused by either a bad door switch or a loose door switch mount.

Simply stopped working in the middle of task(reheating). Electricity and breaker ok.
Whenever the door is open, microwave starts working on. I have to unplug to take the food out.
