Simply need a driver for the 9630 plustek optic pro scanner to run on xp PLEASE Eric

This is an old scanner, no Win7 driver has been made for it by Plustek. You will have to buy a new scanner or install XP Mode in Win7 and load the scanner in it.

1.First download the scanner driver- ->Plustek OpticPro U12B driver(Windows XP ver.)_ 2.Save it somewhere where you will remember after download . We recommend that you save it on your desktop , so it will be easy to find ..
3.Double- click the file you downloaded .
4. Follow the on-screen instructions.
5.When it's successfully installed , please restart your computer
6.After you have restarted the computer , plug the scanner into your computer and it will automatically recognize the new hardware.

Yeah, scanners do not cross OS very well. Older scanners are the worst. You need to get a new one, but consider an all in one printer..They have been getting better. And now can be installed directly into your router, for non hosted sharing. You need to do an actual install on each system, but each system can run the unit like they were hosting it.

Look down on the list and a 'MAC' option is available under 'Operating System'. I haven't attempted to run one myself as yet although had to look for the answer when looking for an A3 Scanner to buy for a Mac Suite.

Found a link for a a windows Xp driver, assuming you're using Xp. This driver might work with Windows 7 if installed in compatibility mode.
