Question about Alesis Fusion 8HD Sound Card
No left channel output on mains and headphones. The audio also distorts on when played.
I have reboot holding the play/record buttons. Checked other forums for similar issue.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: No sound
I had that on my HD8. I had the extremely faint sound problem, too. Volume did nothing.
In my case it was the I/O card (part number AL9-79-0313-A), which feeds the headphones and other outputs. At one time the card was about 115 dollars, I think. You can call Alesis parts and try to get one. Be aware, though, that it is possible something else popped this board, as some Fusions had a power regulation issue in the past (I wish I could advise you specifically on that, but I can't find out the details myself.) So far, mine is working wonderfully.
(Actually, on my I/O card it was one blown transistor and a fried quad op amp. The transistor applies or removes voltage to the output op amps as told by the MUTE signal, which I suppose is to keep your speakers and ears from popping when you turn the Fusion on. That made it like MUTE was on all the time, with the smallest amount of leakage if you listen really close in headphones.
I got it going because I have done electronic repair work for years AND because Alesis was kind enough to send me a PDF of their service manual. And God helped me, or at least kept me from ruining it further by giving me some patience. No parts looked bad that actually were bad on the IO card. I felt fortunate to get it working this way, as the surface mount parts are tiny, and it's been awhile since I did much electronics.
If you do take this dude apart, be very careful not to pinch the large gray ribbon cable (looks like a hard drive cable) in the back of the keyboard putting it together again. Don't ask how I know that...
