Question about HP Photosmart C6180 All-In-One InkJet Printer
Error message to replace yellow ink cartridge. Have done so twice---keep getting same error message.
Where did you get the error message on printer or computer?
If you get the message on printer remove all cartridges and reinsert the cartridges and align the ink cartridges. If the alignment page prints successfully then the problem is resolved.
If you get the message on the computer disconnect the usb from computer. uninstall the software and reinstall the full feature software by selecting connect USB later.

Check the carriage ribbon cable for damage right behind the carriage these printers have a tendency to tear up this cable. installing a strip of mylar tape on this ribbon makes them last longer.
