Will not copy

Sounds like a scanner issue, when you make a copy, lift the lid slightly, does the scanner pass by smoothly? if not, it may be obstructed, or it could have a motor problem.
If it an obstruction, you should see it as the scanner moves, turn the machine off then on, this usually causes a scanner pass and reset to home. Look through the glass as it does so to see if it is catching on anything. if it is a foreign object, remove the glass and clean out the optic cavity.
If only one side moves or the scanner is crooked, it has slipped on its cables.
If it just moves in jerky fashion, it could be the motor.
